Billie A. Sanders, CPA, PFS is the owner of Sanders Accounting. She has over 30 years of public accounting experience, specializing in small business financial and tax consulting. Ms. Sanders received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Evansville. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, and a Certified QuickBooks Proadvisor. She was a staff accountant at George S. Olive (now BKD) and Nathan Lieberman, CPAs. She founded Sanders and Company, CPAs, and was the first woman in Evansville to start her own accounting firm. She merged with Umbach & Associates and was a partner there until 2000, when she became Evansville City Controller. She reopened her office on January 1, 2004, and currently owns and manages Sanders Accounting, P.C.
In addition to individual tax clients, Ms. Sanders serves as a tax and business consultant to small and mid-size businesses in a wide variety of industries (ie. medical, retail, legal, manufacturing, distribution, construction, real estate, etc.)
She specializes in developing and setting up accounting systems and procedures, enabling business owners to have accurate, current financial information at their fingertips for better decision making. She provides clients with up-to-date, aggressive tax planning and takes the initiative to call them with new ideas.
Ms. Sanders is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Indiana CPA Society, Leadership Evansville, ANEW (A Network of Evansville Women), Rotary Club of Evansville, and the Evansville Estate and Financial Planning Council. She has served on the boards of Evansville Estate and Financial Planning Council (President), Local Chapter of Indiana CPA Society (President), and the Evansville Chamber of Commerce (Treasurer).
